We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Sous Chef specialising in authentic classic Mexican Food for our new opening F&B restaurant. Sous Chef directs and guides all sections of the kitchen's operations, preparation of food across and implements continuous improvement across the workstations.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsibilities in handling day to day operations and mise-en plus.
- Develope interesting and exciting menu items that is in line with our concept.
- Responsible for ordering of supplies and cost control management inlcuding food costs and wastage.
- Have a rebust knowledge in Mexican Cuisine techniques and food.
- Supervise and monitor the consistency of food standards in the kitchen.
- Train and assist new kitchen staff and help to ensure their consistency in work performance.
- Executie each dish on the menu according to a standard SOP for consistent taste Aand presentation.
- Assist with inventory and managing of supplies.
- Train kitchen staff of proper food handling, maintenance and safety.
- Prepare and execute with fitness all menu items during service.
Requirements
- Diploma in Culinary/Degree or related field.
- At least 5 years and above of relevant experience as Sous Chef.
- Knowledge on Mexican food products.
- Steady track records from reputable Mexican Cuisine will be added advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills and possess the ability to motivate and influence.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Language skills - fluency in English (oral/written) and Spanish for communication with customers will be added advantage.
- Motivated to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work under stress.
- 6 days work incl. weekends and public holidays.
Salary:
- Full time salary starting from $4k up to $5.5k depending on experience.
- The position and remuneration package will commensurate to work experience and educational qualifications.
