Job Duties:

  • Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on processing equipment, including conveyors, refrigeration systems, and packaging machinery
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and best practices to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or modifications to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems
  • Respond promptly to facility emergencies, such as equipment breakdowns, power outages, and safety hazards, to minimize disruptions and ensure the safety of employees
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to proactively identify and address potential issues before they escalate, including scheduling regular inspections, lubrication, and replacement of components
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, food safety standards, and environmental regulations
  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective measures
  • Provide training and guidance to operations staff on safety protocols, equipment operation, and emergency procedures
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent the recurrence of safety incidents
  • Monitor energy consumption, identify opportunities for energy savings, and implement energy efficiency measures to reduce utility costs and environmental impact
  • Lead or participate in projects related to facility upgrades, equipment installations, and process improvements.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and oversee project execution to ensure successful completion
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to procure materials, equipment, and services as needed


You need to have/be:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food processing or manufacturing industry
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and reliability-centered maintenance
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, food safety standards, and environmental regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and tolerate exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental factors
