Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly financial closing and reporting for Singapore/Malaysia entities and provide support for Australia as and when needed
- Analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Manage intercompany accounting, fixed assets accounting, inventory reporting and quarter-end Stravis reporting to Japan HQ
- Manage daily accounting/financial operations for the Singapore regional HQ
- Work with outsource service provider in managing invoice processing and employee reimbursement
- Work with external accounting firms and stakeholders to manage the daily finance activities for Malaysia
- Work with HR to ensure timely payroll transfers for Singapore and Malaysia
- Work with supply chain to monitor movement of inventories to ensure that GR/PGIs/transfers are posted correctly and perform reconciliation of D365 inventory balance with SCM/warehouses records
- Handle cash management for Singapore/Malaysia to ensure healthy cash flow
- Prepare and submit monthly cash flow forecast in Tagetik system for reporting to Japan HQ
- Liaise with external auditors and oversee yearly external statutory audit
- Prepare audit schedules, audit confirmation and attend to queries from external auditors
- Work with corporate planning and Company Secretary to manage the statutory filing
- Liaise with Tax Agents in the preparation of annual corporate tax returns and ensure timely tax filing
- Manage indirect GST/WHT processing, reporting, reconciliation, and payments
- Develop SOPs and assist in policies updates
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a good knowledge of financial accounting, including regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in finance and accounting with CA or CPA qualification
- Minimum of eight years' post qualification experience and demonstrated experience in a financial/accounting role within a global sized business; healthcare industry experience is advantageous
- Proactive, self-motivated, skilled in multitasking with the capacity to meet tight deadlines
- High integrity, meticulous, results-oriented with a sense of urgency
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
- Experience with Dynamics 365, Tagetik system is preferred
