QUANTITY SURVEYOR MANAGER
Job Description:
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities material quantity and take off.
• Assist in establishing a client's requirements and coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet requirements.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to derive on a procurement strategy to mitigate risk
• Prepare, analyse, track and monitor that expenses and costing for projects are within budget. Potential issues pertaining to budgetary concerns must be addressed.
• Allocate work to subcontractors, supplier and ensure prompt and quality delivery trough contractual obligations.
• Prepare monthly progress claims, value subcontracts payment claims and ensure validity of suppliers’ and subcontractors’ warranty.
• To advise and provide guidance to junior QS colleagues on cost estimates, technical proposal, pre and post tender/contract, etc
• Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports with the project team for cost saving measures.
• To coordinate and liaise with consultants, clients, sub-contractors and other parties involved for project specifications & other technical issues
• Reviewing and verifying all architecture, civil & structural work and ensure compliance with local construction regulations.
• Guide and instruct the project administrators to prepare method statement and presentations per specifications.
• Schedule regular meetings and record decisions (e.g. assigned tasks and next steps).
• Act as the point of contact for all participants.
• Identify potential projects, set target and work with commercial department to clinch project.
• To analyse and approve project budget, cost comparison, variation order/omission and PO.
• Be involved in the process for work head applications.
• Negotiate with clients and resolve contract issue and dispute management.
• Preparation of final accounts and variation submission.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 8 years as managerial level with working experience in tendering, estimating and measurement of quantities in LTA/MRT projects
