Global luxury goods giant is seeking an Observability Engineer who will be based in Singapore and working with the team to design, document, build, secure, and maintain OpenSearch related components (OpenSearch, OpenSearch Dashboard, Logstash, File Beat, Fluent Bit,...) deployed in the Kubernetes to support non-production and production environment. The client is looking for a driven individual with excellent communication skills, on top of sound technical expertise.
The Position:
- Work with the team to design, document, build, secure, and maintain OpenSearch related components (OpenSearch, OpenSearch Dashboard, Logstash, File Beat, Fluent Bit,...) deployed in the Kubernetes to support non-production and production environment.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and integrators to assess requirements and to design and support OpenSearch related components to ensure compliance with dashboard data requirements.
- Follow life cycle processes to move solutions from Dev to Pre-Production to Production
- Configure and maintain Kubernetes Helm Chart-related OpenSearch related components
- Install and configure OpenSearch related components in non-production and production environments; ensuring communication and integration with data sources
- Document installation and configuration for deployment into production
- Secure solutions by being familiarity with TLS, certificates, SSO/PIV authentication, and encryption technologies
- Develop and apply quantitative and qualitative analytic methods to identify, collect, process, and analyze large data sets for specified purposes.
- Work with the data lifecycle management
- Test data flows, troubleshoot issues, and monitor health of the solutions to maximize performance and minimize downtime.
- Participate in group sessions as well as attend and share in agile meetings to track progress.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and best practice recommendations
The Candidate:
- Working experience with OpenSearch (Elasticsearch)
- Working Database experience (SQL, NoSQL)
- Working experience with Kubernetes (building monitoring tools and clusters)
- Experience working in an environment that has a larger pool of applications – up to 200
- Strong communication & collaboration skills, on top of strong technical foundation
Preferred Qualifications
Good to have experience with the following (but not a must)
- Change management
- Jira
- ITSM knowledge
- Helm charts
- LogStash and Kibana
- Prior retail/luxury experience
