1. Position
The successful candidate will be an IT Business Analyst joining the Payment Systems Team, translating business & operation requirements into functional & system requirements as a part of the continual evolution of the existing payments platform for the APAC region.
2. Key Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Requirements gathering with business, operations & other system interfaces
- Perform system/functional analysis to facilitate the functional requirements document (FRS)
- Creation of operational workflows, and use cases diagrams
- Contribute towards the relevant sections of the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
- Provide viable solutions that improve operational efficiency, user experience, and delivers business initiatives
- Review and sign-off the artefacts and solutions produced by the technical teams and vendor
- Provide SIT, UAT, regression, performance testing and rehearsal testing support
- To ensure successful implementation of solution on schedule
Contributing Responsibilities
- Engage vendors, other application/project teams for new payments platform development
- Contribute towards the end-to-end solutioning for new business products/offerings
- To share expertise by providing training and knowledge sharing sessions
- Support post production issues and provide necessary guidance to BAU teams
3. Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)
- 7+ years of IT experience in banking software development
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment
- Able to work independently or in a team to resolve issues and/or identify solutions in a timely manner
- In depth experience in Payments, Cash Management and Transaction Banking projects
- Extremely familiar with Payments and Collections/Receivables (TT, RTGS, ACH Bulk Payments, Direct Debit, Real-Time Payments, Cheques, Virtual Account, Liquidity Mgmt) and Operations BAU processing, across the APAC region
- Sound domain knowledge in Corporate Banking, Trade and Wealth Management
- Sound functional analysis and project management skills
- Hands-on experience with Payment Operations processing, data/interface mapping and troubleshooting
- Practice of SDLC and/or Agile Scrum
Good knowledge on:
- CBPR+ ISO20022 payment standard and SWIFT messages
- Straight-thru processing (STP) and operational efficiency
- Core banking and foreign exchange transactions
- Transaction reporting and advices
- Payments filtering and AML
- Reconciliation and settlement
- Cash flow management and financial / regulatory reporting
- Payment transformation lifecycle and implementation methodology
