Game-Based Digital Biomarkers for Enhancing Mathematics Well-being of At-Risk Learners
Project Introduction:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to join our interdisciplinary team working on a cutting-edge research project titled "Game-Based Digital Biomarkers for Enhancing Mathematics Well-being of At-Risk Learners." This project aims to develop innovative game-based interventions and digital biomarkers to improve the mathematics well-being of at-risk learners. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and evaluating these interventions to advance our understanding of how technology can support mathematics learning and well-being.
Requirements:
- A Master’s or equivalent degree in education, computer science, psychology, neuroscience, or a related field. Candidates with a PhD may be considered for a Research Fellow position.
- Strong background in research methodology, with experience in designing and conducting empirical studies.
- Expertise in game design, development, and evaluation, with a focus on educational or serious games.
- Familiarity with digital biomarkers, data analytics, and machine learning techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or R.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and communicate research findings to diverse audiences.
Prior experience working with at-risk learners or marginalized populations is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data using digital biomarkers and other relevant measures for primary school learners.
- Contribute to project management activities, data analyses, including reporting and documentation.
- Disseminate research findings through academic publications, research presentations, and outreach activities.
- Liaise with research participants and other stakeholders.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigators
