Job Description:
- Work in tandem with the Value Stream Manager and the Distribution Centre Manager to ensure timely delivery and quality through Lean methodologies, using Policy Deployment for ongoing enhancements.
- Coordinate the allocation of resources from various teams for the repair and overhaul of landing gears and associated components.
- Lead initiatives promoting Lean Sigma practices, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, Ergonomics, and standardization of best practices within the Value Stream, adhering to Group-level policies.
- Manage costs effectively, optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), working capital, and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Provide leadership in System Corrective Action Request (ETQ), Eight Disciplines (8D) problem-solving methods, and apply Lean-Sigma tools to identify root causes and implement preventive actions against quality issues.
- Offer technical guidance and leadership to direct reports and workshop personnel to ensure compliance with quality and airworthiness directives.
- Exhibit quick and decisive analysis and planning skills, assessing information promptly to develop new strategies.
- Cultivate innovation, manage change effectively, and encourage a culture of risk-taking while overseeing change implementation.
- Establish preventative programs within operations to engage team members actively in HSE development and improvement objectives.
- Foster team cohesion through development, mentorship, and empowerment strategies.
- Maintain a balanced approach with a commercial focus, aligning management decisions with financial objectives.
- Instill a sense of drive and commitment based on shared values.
- Promote collaboration by removing obstacles and fostering relationships through a cooperative approach.
- Lead by example and be willing to step in to assist the team in achieving goals as needed.
- Exercise strategic thinking by anticipating future scenarios and associated risks.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills across all levels of the Value Stream.
- Proactively anticipate and mitigate potential barriers using resourceful approaches.

Job Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience.
- Additional relevant industrial management experience would be advantageous.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) business landscape, including commercial drivers and customer requirements.
- Demonstrate expertise in Lean principles, tools, and improvement techniques, with a proven track record of successful implementation.
- Display strong commercial acumen and business awareness, alongside a commitment to impactful decision-making.
