DevOps Engineer is a specialist role in Decision Science as part of the Technology & Business consulting department to support primary activities in our Application Delivery services. A DevOps Engineer shall work closely with the Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, Security Manager, and Scrum Master (or Project Manager) to support the Agile Development team in designing, planning, delivering, and securing client applications in both on-prem and on-cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with an agile build and run team to deliver the application software, using Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices and its related toolsets.
- Work closely with the client’s platform/infra engineering team to deliver the infrastructure and operating environment for container-based microservices that meet the agreed high availability, performance, and security requirements.
- Work closely with other internal teams within the organization to ensure that solutions are designed with customer user experience, scale/performance, security and operability in mind.
- Ensure that the software releases are aligned and follow the application release and deployment process for the various projects.
- Facilitate and support the troubleshooting or root cause analysis of platform issues or incidents.
- Proactively identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and architecture simplification for the platforms/services/products.
- In charge of project planning and management activities such as cloud services estimation, delivery schedules, internal enablement, security auditing…
- Work closely with the solution team to gather requirements and prioritizes the requirements for the various teams to deliver
- Research and suggest the latest, most relevant technologies and trends for continuous improvement of the platforms/services/products.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of working experience in software delivery for sizable transformational or digitalization projects
- Proficiency in CI/CD tool chains such as Gitlab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Bamboo, SonarQube, Fortify SCA, Fortify WebInspect, Sonatype Nexus, JFrog Artifactory, and etc.
- Comprehensive experience and knowledge of containerization technologies such as Dockers, Kubernetes (K8s), and et.
- Solid understanding and experience on Terraform and Infrastructure-as-code
- Hands-on experience on AWS/Azure Cloud will be an advantage
- Certifications for AWS/Azure Solutions Architect and DevOps Engineer will be highly considered
- English-speaking with good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work within fast-paced agile development environment
- Candidates with extensive experience, excellent communication skills and good certifications will be considered for Senior and Lead positions.
