- Manufacturing Experience in Plastic or Polymer is a MUST.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and increase overall productivity. Conduct time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and streamline workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and improve overall process reliability.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that manufacturing processes meet or exceed quality standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality-related issues.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide input on the selection of equipment and technology for new processes.
- Ensure the successful transfer of new processes from development to production
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and address any breakdowns promptly.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process parameters.
- Generate regular reports on key metrics, process performance, and improvement initiatives. Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain, to achieve common goals.
- Additional duties & responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process optimization and improvement.
- Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Excellent technical & interpersonal skills, resourceful and team player.
- Experience in fully / semi-automated manufacturing environment, familiarity with various manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies. PLC knowledge is a plus.
- Self-motivated, ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving & analytical skills, Excellent communication, and Technical reporting skills.
- Proficient in the use of relevant software tools, working knowledge of Solidworks, Auto Cad
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering with 3-5 years’ experience in the manufacturing environment.
