Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement strategies and programmes to strengthen stakeholder engagement
- Conceptualise and create communication literatures that effectively resonate with both internal and external stakeholders
- Craft speeches and messages for the management, in both English and Mandarin
- Manage media requests and craft talking points/replies to media queries
- Manage corporate website and social media channels, including developing and maintaining content to engage new and existing stakeholders
- Plan and coordinate corporate events
- Undertake any other ad-hoc projects or duties assigned to support the department’s operations
Competencies
- Relevant bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism, communications or social science
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin, both written and verbal. A strong command of Mandarin is required for effective communication with stakeholders in the Chinese community
- Skilled in writing and copyediting, including adapting writing styles for various target audiences
- Deep knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital/social media, with a keen interest in Chinese culture and heritage
- Excellent time management, ability to multi-task and prioritise work while being meticulous and organised
- Team player with a high degree of initiative and “can-do” spirit
