Full Time Enrichment Teacher for Speech & Drama

Location: Islandwide (Candidate must be comfortable travelling)

*Successful candidate will be placed on a renewable contract till December 2024


General Responsibilities

Programme Implementation and Class Management

  • Design and implement engaging and creative lessons plans of the assigned enrichment programmes/holiday programmes/weekend workshops.
  • Conduct enrichment programmes/holiday programmes/workshops based on stipulated schedule and frequency.

Monitoring, Assessment, Reporting and Recording

  • To encourage and monitor the development and progress of each individual student.
  • To provide students, parents and other stakeholders with appropriate and constructive feedback on progress made
  • To maintain accurate and complete records of students' attendance, progress, development etc
  • To work closely with reporting officer to mentor/guide staff and freelance trainers

Others

  • Responsible for the general cleanliness of the classrooms, ensuring a safe environment for students.
  • To adhere to all standard operating procedures.
  • To provide support to unit’s administrative matters.
  • To review enrichment curriculum, in order to ensure relevance and address needs of students in both preschool and student care units.

Requirements

  • A minimum O level / Higher NITEC / Diploma, in any discipline
  • Prior experience within the Early Childhood sector is also a distinct advantage
  • Beginner trainers are welcomed to apply
  • Good knowledge of child development theories and practices, as well as teaching methodologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
  • Possess positive energy, enthusiasm and patience
  • Ability to nurture and engage learners, and build their self esteem
  • Strong written and spoken English language skills
  • Comfortable & pro-efficient in conducting programmes – Speech & Drama (pre-school) curriculum
  • Able to curate, prepare and review lesson plans – Speech & Drama (pre-school) curriculum
  • Trainers are required to be independent with initiatives to complete tasks while working from home, as well as resolve daily classroom issues on site
  • Innovative and creative
