REQ10685 Senior HR Generalist

Position Summary

Working closely with the management team for regional to provide guidance on for all human resources policies and procedures. Participate in implementation of new system/changes as needed. Ensure adherence with employment law across your area. The incumbent will help Asia Pacific Director, HR based in Sydney with supporting business strategy and objectives through consultation with business units, through the development and implementation of key people and regional as well as global organizational initiatives. The candidate builds strong internal partnerships, provides developmental coaching to all levels, and offers creative solutions to address business issues and enhance performance.


The successful candidate will be based in Singapore and support all our Asia-Pacific offices (Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne, New Zealand, Beijing, Shanghai, Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong). Working in a small team in Asia, the HR Generalist will be expected to assume a great deal of individual responsibility and ownership of his/her work.


Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for full Spectrum of HR and Talent Acquisition duties such as Recruitment, Learning & development, onboarding, offboarding, compensation, payroll, and reporting (HR reports and Cost) and other HR matters in local and SEA/APAC markets.
  2. Collaborate with management to execute company direction with HR activities, HR policies, engagement, and other programs.
  3. Initiative and passion around HR’s ability to influence business outcomes.
  4. Solid understanding of relevant laws and governing practices in APAC.
  5. Quick learner with sound judgment and the ability to balance HR practices and business needs with an open mind to adapt to needs and changing scenarios.
  6. Build strong partnerships across HR to design and roll out corporate-wide programs and ensure local stakeholder needs are understood and met.
  7. Help translate business strategies and objectives into the appropriate HR actions and initiatives.
  8. Coach business leaders on leadership behaviors and practices, employee communications, and performance management strategies that promote engagement and a culture of continuous improvement.
  9. Identify people-related issues or opportunities and implement people solutions in all areas, including but not limited to talent acquisition, organizational development, talent management, culture management
  10. Ability to handle a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and sensitivity regarding employee information.
  11. Successful experience driving complex projects and outcomes with the associated change management to ensure success.
  12. Self-starter, driven, flexible and independent.


Requirements

  1. A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in Human Resources Generalist role.
  2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  3. Requires extensive training and experience to resolve a wide range of issues.
  4. Has good understanding of roles of the relevant functional groups within own area
  5. Provides investigative, analytic or diagnostic services that affect a wide range of the unit’s activities and suggests improvements
  6. Has knowledge of technical discipline and work processes.
  7. Past experience with Workday will be an added advantage
