Responsibility
- Keep good contact with local industry, client, and the authorities to ensure alignment of HSE objectives.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory HSE requirements.
- Ensure compliance with contract HSE requirements.
- Identify potential and actual areas of improvement and assist in setting and formulating goals and tools for their achievement.
- Inform the rig manager of new requirements pertaining to HSE and quality in the operating area.
- Deliver and promote new and existing HSE training and campaigns provided by head office.
- Monitor quality of data entered in the BBS tool.
- To assist in and conduct investigations on HSEQ and follow up on remedial actions.
- Assist in the evaluation of internal and external reports concerning safety, for emerging trends and lessons learned.
- Promote the use of management systems and ensure relevant requirements are implemented.
- To prepare and conduct internal and external presentations to promote company policies.
- To assist in the conduct of formal risk assessments and analysis.
- Perform audits to measure the safety culture in the rig organization.
- Provide HSE guidance and HSE coaching for offshore employees to ensure compliance with systems and culture.
- To assist in setting up an effective emergency response organization at the location.
- Document control.
- Maintenance of the HSE Case.
- Assist the rig in management and safe use of chemicals on board.
- Carry out and follow up on workplace assessments on board.
Qualification
- Formal education in suitable technical, marine, HSE, or quality engineering disciplines.
- Proficient in HSE management systems.
- Good English verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to safety in relevant work activities.
- Safety courses and medical certificates complying with the requirements .
