Vice President (VP) - Sales Specialist

To apply market specialist expertise to drive high value sales solutions through a keen focus on client advocacy to replicate multiple large accounts in assigned brand(s)/verticals for a particular end-market. Proactively partner with key account managers to build retained client partnerships enabling growth of exceptional talent pipelines for conversion through (assigned) teams of sales consultants contributing to national / regional revenues.


Duties & Responsibilities

Planning and Strategy

  • Successfully plans for the medium term, linking team goals to wider brand/office vision
  • Prioritizes with clear objective setting for self and team
  • Incorporates Phaidon strategy into immediate and medium-term planning
  • Develops and maintains succession planning focussed on proactive development of team in the medium term


Client Management

  • Grows business from existing and new clients, including securing position of preferred supplier lists (PSLs), agrees sole supplier terms of business and effectively cross sells all areas of the Phaidon International
  • Effectively coaches team on identifying the ideal client criteria, successfully measuring, and targeting clients on this basis
  • Drives cross division clients maximizing on group opportunities and actively generates referral business for other teams
  • Exploits networking opportunities as appropriate
  • Proactively updates clients on relevant products/services available from Phaidon as appropriate
  • Proactively tracks market changes and identifies impact on clients

Candidate Management

  • Initiates creative solutions to generate candidates, including identifying ‘passive’ candidates and utilizing candidate pipelines
  • Work cross team or division in sourcing and promoting candidates within the business
  • Develop candidate networks that generate vacancies
  • Confidently provide detailed and up to date knowledge of clients when speaking candidates
  • Utilizes post placement care to improve strategic partnerships
  • Works cross team (perm/contract/global) to build relationships and cross sell candidates
  • Consistently gains candidate exclusivity, referrals and business develops candidates, generating vacancies

Key Deliverables

  • Meets and often exceeds revenue generation targets.
  • Meets NFI targets on a consistent basis.
  • Generates cross-sales.
  • Leads relationships clients and candidates, ensuring needs are met consistently through each work stage.
  • Participates in external activities related to own vertical.
  • Shares subject matter expertise internally through set deliverables.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Typically holds professional qualifications and/or a Bachelor's Degree
  • Understands the relationship between own specialism and wider client/industry/company requirements.
  • Is fully familiar with recognised professional bodies of knowledge, both generic business and sector / domain specific.
  • Advises on the available standards, methods, tools and applications relevant to own specialism (function/vertical) and can make
  • appropriate choices from alternatives.
  • Proactively tracks market changes and external events and identifies impact on business/clients.
  • Mentors colleagues in area of specialism.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the recruitment industry.
