The Role:
Responsible for the maintenance and repair works of hospital and other associated business units as instructed by the management
Job Responsibilities:
- In addition to PPM or R&M that have to be completed in accordance to schedule, the effectiveness and efficiency of monitoring PPM checklist and R&M are done in accordance to standard and without compromising both safety and quality standard by the Senior Engineer.
- Renovation, repair and maintenance work are expected to be continued as per instruction and in accordance to plan.
- The Senior Engineer is expected to coordinate, engage and build a strong bonding with both employee and contractor to reassure that the work can completed in time.
- The Senior Engineer is responsible for M&E, Facilities Management, fire safety, security, car park and project works. He/She is expected to perform a same role with or without the absence of manager.
- The Senior Engineer is to ensure all service contracts are reviewed and renewed before expiry date.
- Assist in determining major items required for new additions or replacement within the hospital complex, obtain budgetary quotes and submit capital equipment justifications and requests for approval.
- Work with subordinates to ensure that all physical plants and equipment are kept in the best operating condition possible.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with vendors and sub-contractors for work to be performed and equipment to be purchased.
- Require managing the operations of technicians and monitor their performance in ensuring both PPM and corrective actions are done effectively accordingly to plan.
Professional/ Educational Qualifications:
- Minimum qualification Diploma with 15 years of experience or Degree with 7-10 years or work experience in Facilities Management with M&E works and /or building services and related field
- Minimum 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
- Skills in M&E, Building Services, ACMV, Opex/Capex Management and Fire Safety are a plus.
