THIS IS A 2-YEARS RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE
To be responsible for the planning, conception and implementation of digitally focused initiatives and drive engagement to achieve brand awareness and visitorship targets for the Museum’s exhibitions, programmes, collections and events.
To develop and build strong relationships with stakeholders, industry partners such as the Museum Roundtable and ICOM and patrons.
To develop, implement and manage inventories of the Museum merchandising endeavours working closely with sales and development.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and allocation of resources for marketing and communications needs for both print and digital efforts
- To develop and execute media events such as familiarisation tours including development of press releases and media advisories
- Schedule, facilitate and coordinate marketing creatives, including budgeting
- Research on current trends on marketing channels both online and on-site platforms
- Conduct ongoing evaluation and analyse surveys from marketing efforts
- Supervise advertisement productions
- Work collaboratively on developing and implementing merchandise for the Museum
- Planning and allocation of inventory, churning of sales reports and evaluation on sales
- Support the working relationship with external stakeholders and partners
Job Requirement
- At least 4/5 years of direct experience working in marketing and merchandising, a background in design creatives and advertisement production will be an advantage
- An interest and passion for Singapore history, museums and the local art scene
- Self-directed learner and problem solver who remains productive under pressure
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English, knows how to operate Microsoft Office Suite and adobe photoshop/dreamweaver etc
- Good time management skills
- Cultural understanding and empathy for diverse communities
- Availability to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Team player
- Service oriented and enjoy interacting with people
- Shortlisted candidate must be comfortable to work at Republic of Singapore Navy Museum located at Tanah Merah
