- Prepare and cook meals (i.e. lunch, tea and dinner) according to planned menu and / or specific diets of the residents whenever required
- Ensure ingredients for meals are properly cooked and kept in a most hygienic condition
- Ensure quantity for every meal is sufficient for the residents and the staff to prevent wastage
- Responsible for washing of cutlery/utensils after every meal
- Ensure cleanliness at food preparation area, stove, kitchen floor, utensils, cooking equipment etc.
- Maintenance of refrigerator in the most hygienic condition (wash, clean and clear expired/rotten food)
- Perform stock take (count and record cooking ingredients / items taken out from store)
- Responsible for the ordering of all raw ingredients/dry goods/provisions/ for cooking weekly (including daily vegetables and meats)
- Person in charge for the keys to the store, refrigerator and dry goods cupboard
Requirements
- Primary/Secondary School/GCE 'N' or 'O' Level, Professional Certificate/NITEC
- Minimum 1 year working experience
- Possess a current basic food hygiene certificate would be an advantage.
- Motivated with positive attitude to learn
- Cooperative and helpful with other team members
- Able to work shifts, weekends, eve of public holidays and public holidays
