Job Title : Research Assistant / Research Associate in AI and Machine Learning

Position Type : Full-time, Fixed-term contract (1 year, with possibility of extension)


Project Overview:
This project aims to develop cutting-edge AI and machine learning technologies to develop advanced treatment agents that offer personalized treatment recommendations. By harnessing large datasets and innovative algorithms, we aim to improve the healthcare decision-making process for clinicians. Our algorithms will focus on effectively identifying individual patient traits, overcoming the challenges presented by sparse and erroneous Electronic Health Records (HER), and developing treatment agents to recommend tailored treatments.


Job Description:
We are seeking a Research Assistant / Research Associate with a strong background in AI and machine learning to join our dynamic team. Successful candidates will closely collaborate with a diverse group of AI and clinical experts, all dedicated to developing innovative clinical decision support systems. This role provides a rare opportunity to be at the forefront of creating innovative AI solutions with a direct effect on healthcare decision-making.


Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand clinical needs and integrate AI-based solutions effectively.
•Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify patterns and insights relevant to clinical decision-making.
•Design and implement machine learning algorithms tailored for healthcare applications.
•Participate in other related research activities such as dissemination of findings through publications and presentations.
•Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI, machine learning, and healthcare technology to inform project direction.


Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field with a strong emphasis on AI and machine learning.
•Demonstrated experience in the development and application of machine learning algorithms.
•Advanced programming skills, particularly in Python.
•Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas).
•An understanding of healthcare data and the clinical decision-making process will be considered an asset.
•Experience in AI sub-fields, such as time series forecasting, user modeling and understanding, and reinforcement learning, will be highly valued.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.


The grade of appointment will be accorded based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
