As a Clinical Counsellor focusing on issues related to mental health, you will provide a high standard of counselling/therapy and support to individuals. Mental health issues include post-traumatic symptoms, interpersonal and intrapersonal challenges. You will also be expected to conduct talks, workshops and trainings as well as be involved in community outreach project work. You will be engaged in developmental work to create awareness for mental health related subject areas.
Responsibilities:
- Administer screening for trauma related inpatient and outpatient cases
- Provide professional counselling/therapy and targeted mental health support/strategies for patients presenting with mental health disorders
- Liaise with other interdisciplinary trauma teams with regard to management and continuity of care for patients
- Provide psychological group support for staff and corporate clients
- Develop and deliver content for talks and workshops related to mental health and well-being
- Develop new counselling services arising from outcomes of research
- Any other duties assigned from time to time
Requirements:
· Degree or Master in Counselling with preferably 2 to 5 years of relevant experience; essentially with experience supporting patients with mental health disorders
· At least 2 years working experience as a Counsellor with local family service centre or community setting preferred
· Training or teaching experience to adult learners essential; proven track record of training programme development and management
· Apply theoretical knowledge and skills to plan, organize and lead therapeutic groups
· Registered Counsellor with Singapore Association for Counselling
· High EQ/Strong in interpersonal skills
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Proficiently bilingual
· Conscious team player and ability to work with professionals from other disciplines
