Our client is actively searching for an Associate Director, Investment to join their team!

The responsibilities of this role are:

  • Support the senior team in various aspects of investments covering equities, ETFs, fixed income, venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, real assets, REITs, including but not limited to qualitative and quantitative analysis of prospective fund investments, preparation of written & powerpoint presentation materials for IC approvals, presentation to Management & IC.
  • Undertake quantitative analysis such as regression/factor analysis, fee structure modelling for public market investments and sensitivity analysis.
  • Review of investment management agreement, fund key terms, including fee structure, key-man provisions, tax structure, as well as other legal documentation.
  • Review and complete subscription paperwork including opening of account with managers for new investments.
  • Perform meaningful market, industry and manager or company-specific research to identify suitable investment opportunities & strategies.
  • Ongoing monitoring of existing investments including analysing performance, portfolio positions and risk exposures via calls & in-person meetings.
  • Construct the tools and techniques required to produce thorough analysis at the asset class level. Conduct analysis and consequently make well justified recommendations for evolution. Support the decision making process on asset class allocation.
  • Determine optimal and customised solutions for the Client's portfolios.
  • Develop dashboards and materials suitable for communication at the highest levels.
  • Reporting: produce & upgrade reporting across all asset classes.
  • Conduct Investment Research.
  • Conduct Due Diligence on investments.
  • Produce proposals for new investments.
  • Create and manage Excel models and tool as necessary.
  • Maintain up to date data on investments.
  • Analyse performance and investment risks.
  • Support the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) plans
  • Execute regular and ad hoc processes as required.
  • Develop robust financial models and conduct quantitative analysis such as cash flow modelling for private investments, DCF analysis, factor analysis and sensitivity analysis.
  • Participate in the ongoing monitoring of all investments including analysing performance, portfolio positions and risk exposures;
  • Assist in any other special assignments as required from time to time.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:

  • A university degree with a focus in finance or a quantitative background CFA or post-graduate investment related studies will be considered favourably.
  • With at least 8 to 10 years relevant working experience, preferably in investment related firms.
  • A good team player with strong analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of financial models, software & databases.
  • Demonstrate good supervisory skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in Bloomberg, Microsoft Office & programming skills in VBA, etc useful.
