PURPOSE AND SCOPE
- As a key member of maintenance team, you will be leading the Mechanical Maintenace team and responsible for the gas plant and service corridor maintenance with the aim of meeting performance targets of reliability and availability and complying fully with regulatory requirements, company policies, SOPs and HSSE standard. Provide maintenance works to plant & equipment to support the operations.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance works. Include liaising with operations, prioritize jobs, mobilize work force, spares and allocate resources.
- Lead technicians in implementing in preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Trouble shoot critical or major plant issues, participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) studies, plant improvement initiative, and drive cost management.
- Implement management initiatives to optimize the assets and seek to continuously improve on the methods, procedures and update with the latest developments in the market by adopting a suitable approach like proactive initiatives viz predictive and preventive maintenance activities and default actions like failure finding, redesign and run to failure.
- Develop and establish maintenance procedures, risk assessment and method statements for all maintenance activities to ensure safe execution & Upkeep risk registers.
- Ensure that maintenance works, and plant equipment comply with Statutory Requirements.
- Review/endorse the final findings/recommendations of root cause analysis of major equipment/process failure to prevent future occurrence and ultimately improve reliability.
- Prepare annual budget for Mechanical department and monitors expenditures after budget adoption to keep track of budget utilization.
- Identify potential areas towards increasing company profits through suitable plant maintenance practices, modifications, debottlenecking, improved and more efficient work methods.
- Management of all approved maintenance contracts.
- Ensure compliances with all regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliances with Sembcorp policies and procedures requirements.
- Ensures that all maintenance work, whether by plant personnel or contractors, is conducted in a manner consistent with Sembcorp safety programs and works does not violate these programs.
- Supervises and oversees Maintenance Technician skill improvement, training, and safety program; Identify and mentor high potentials to enhance resource pipeline/prepare for future challenges.
- Participate in new projects design reviews, due diligence on new products/technology and provide Subject-Matter-Experts (SME) insights to project team.
- Flexibility in supporting other Sembcorp plants whenever required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Preferably minimum 5 years of experience in Maintenance fields and 3 years in Maintenance Management in a Power & Utilities Plant, Gas Plant or Petrochemical Industry.
- Extensive gas and utilities maintenance technical and leadership experience with a work history that demonstrates a pattern of accomplishments and advancement will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) are highly desired.
