The Innovation Engineer is responsible for delivering differentiation through technology in our products and service delivery. He/she develops hardware solutions to support Trinax products and services. This role requires strong technical skills, understanding of best practices and a good understanding of the client needs. As Innovation Engineer, it involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring systems meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
- Researching, crafting and pitching solutions to meet our clientele project requirements
- Conducting thorough research, evaluate and identify suitable materials, assemblies, processes and equipment
- Provide the team with technical advice on feasibility, reliability and effective efficiency
- Lead in designing of schematic diagrams and 3D model technical drawings using CAD software
- Lead development, testing and troubleshooting of prototypes and final commercial products from start to end (eg. Arduino, sensors, motors, led, etc)
- Oversee and guiding external contractors in product fabrication to achieve your intended design from start to end
- Work closely with fellow Creative Technologist and Chief Innovation & Technology Officer to come out with new innovative products
- 3D printing and handling lower-end 3D printers if required
- Sourcing and liaising with external vendors if required
Requirements:
- Minimum a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering related disciplines or equivalent
- Candidate with major in electronics, robotics, automation or autonomous systems would be desired.
- Strong technical experience and knowledge
- Proficient with hands-on experience in developing products
- Experience dealing with fabricators in production of products with quality and intended design
- Ability to prioritise tasks and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to be a team player and independent worker if required
- Possess good communication skills
- Have a positive attitude and innovative mindset
- Passion in learning and problem solving. Keen to learn, meticulous and most importantly resourcefulness and an eye for details
- Interest in the latest technologies and interactive experiences is desired
- Interest in the good user experiences design is desired
