Position Title: Bookkeeper/Accountant

Job Summary:We're looking for a meticulous and organized individual to join us as a bookkeeper/accountant. Your role will involve maintaining accurate financial records, handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, and assisting with various accounting duties.

Responsibilities:

  1. Recording Transactions: Enter financial transactions accurately and promptly into our accounting software or ledgers.
  2. Accounts Payable: Manage accounts payable by processing invoices, getting approvals, and issuing payments.
  3. Accounts Receivable: Handle accounts receivable tasks like invoicing clients, recording payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
  4. Bank Reconciliation: Ensure accuracy by reconciling bank statements with our records and identifying any discrepancies.
  5. Payroll Processing: Assist with payroll tasks such as calculating employee hours, preparing checks, and managing payroll taxes.
  6. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  7. Budgeting and Forecasting: Help in preparing budgets and forecasts by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
  8. Tax Compliance: Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities, including maintaining records for audits.
  9. General Ledger Maintenance: Keep the general ledger updated by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
  10. Financial Analysis: Conduct analysis to identify trends and variances for decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks or Xero.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
