Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in an engineering discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing industries with an automation background.
- A proven record of accomplishment in automation work will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
General Equipment
- Identifies or addresses malfunctions of plant operational equipment.
- Proactively involved in identifying the defects in the operational equipment and finding out ways in which can be rectified.
- Monitors plant equipment operation and performance, adjusting to performance specifications.
- Communicates the status of operating equipment to production supervisors or managers.
- Maintain logs and reports, work requests or other records of work performed in the plant.
- Propose improvements to prevent the re-occurrence of trouble, and target set not more than 3 times similar incidents.
- Coordinate with all contractors / supplies for in-house periodic maintenance including plant facilities and repairs.
PLC & Software
- Able to read and write Siemens S7 PLC & HMI codes.
- Knowledge of serial communication.
- Knowledge of programming languages
Other Operational Duties
- Maintain proper documentation
- Housekeeping of spare parts, tools, and accessories.
- Initiate and participate in continuous improvement projects
- As assigned by Managers.
Competencies
- Electrical design and drawing.
- Install, calibrate, program modification, operate and simulate the industrial Robot such as FANUS using Siemens S7 PLC and HMI.
- Work with Suppliers and Vendors to determine the selection of proper components.
- Perform installations / commissioning of machine/robot.
Travel:
- Travel for this position is up to 30%.
