Responsibilities
- Handling full spectrum of accounting/finance functions for entities assigned under your portfolio.
- Responsible for preparation, accounting entry and closing of monthly and annual financial statements within the stipulated deadlines of the group.
- Supervise accounting team in the facilitation of day-to-day operations within Asia Pacific and Japan region
- Review accounting entries to ensure accuracy & compliance
- Ensure integrity of financial accounting processes and reporting in compliance with Financial Reporting Standards and Group reporting
- Liaise with HQ to ensure accuracy and timely reporting
- Monitor and update outstanding payments and collections from customers.
- Process suppliers’ invoices and prepare payment to vendors/liaising with vendors.
- Coordinate and liaise for Year-End Audit, Tax Return Fillings, and quarterly GST Filing.
- Support and ensure compliance with all legislative requirement & standards on respective country’s entity.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- To perform any ad-hoc tasks as assigned
Profile
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance
- At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Ability to work within tight timelines.
- Hand-on experience in SAP
- Well verse in Microsoft excel, formula etc is a PLUS.
- Multi-tasking, able to work independently with self-initiative.
- Meticulous and keen eye for details; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team player, positive attitude
- Responsible, reliable, good working ethics.
- Good appreciation of financial and internal controls, with the ability to balance requirements for internal control with efficiency
- Able to commence work immediately would be an advantage
