(a) Information and Communications Technology (ICT) & AV support for school events
• The Personnel shall be in charge of the setup, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment in school compounds.
• The Personnel shall provide technical support in lighting, audio, video and stage for events by the Authority or external organizations.
• Lighting - Involves setting up, operating, and managing lighting equipment used during events.
• Audio - Setup and management of audio equipment, such as microphones, speakers, mixer soundboards (both digital and analogue), and any other audio-related technology. The Personnel ensures that the sound quality is optimal for both live audiences and recordings, if applicable. He/she shall handle the balancing of audio levels, manage live feeds, and ensure clear audio delivery for speeches, music, and other sound elements of the event.
• Video - Managing video equipment such as cameras, projectors, screens, and video editing tools. The personnel will be involved in live-streaming events, recording them for later broadcast, or displaying various visual elements on screens during the event. He/she shall ensure the video quality and visual content are aligned with the event's objectives.
• Stage Management - Setting up and managing the physical stage where the event takes place. The Personnel shall provide assistance to ensure that the stage is safe, properly arranged, and equipped with necessary elements like podiums and seating arrangements. He/she shall coordinate with the Authority’s staff to ensure smooth transitions between different segments of each event, such as speeches, performances, or presentations.
(b) Assist Authority’s staff in the setup of AV equipment
• The Personnel shall assist Authority’s staff in setting up ICT/AV equipment for events, meetings and lessons when required.
• The Personnel shall assist teachers in video-recording school events and lessons when required.
• The Personnel is expected to supervise students who are tasked to video-record school events.
• The Personnel shall supervise & guide Media Club during their activities in the area of audio & visual skills set.
• The Personnel shall conduct AV training for students and staff when required.
(c) ICT/AV Planning and Procurement
• The Personnel shall work with HOD (ICT) / ICT Manager / ICT Associate to propose solutions to ICT/AV persistent challenges that the Authority is facing which includes technical specifications and cost of implementations.
• The Personnel shall assist HOD (ICT) / ICT Manager / ICT Associate with the procurement process with regards to ICT/AV related solutions and services.
(d) Managing ICT & AV Resources
• The Personnel shall assist ICT department in managing the Authority's ICT & AV resources such as condemnation of ICT & AV equipment and the loan of ICT & AV equipment.
• The Personnel shall conduct annual maintenance of hardware and carry out troubleshooting and basic repair of ICT & AV equipment.
(e) Media Post Production
• The Personnel are anticipated to play an integral role in the post-production process of video and audio recordings captured by the Authority’s staff.
• Video editing – He/she shall compile the raw footage, cut and arrange the clips to create a coherent narrative or sequence. This includes selecting the best takes, arranging them in the desired order, and ensuring the flow of the video aligns with the project's goals. In addition, he/she shall be required to add titles, subtitles, and any on-screen graphics required for the video.
• Sound Editing and Mixing – He/she shall work on dialogues, background noises, and other audio elements. He/she shall remove unwanted sounds, enhance clarity of dialogues, and may add ambient sounds or effects to enrich the audio quality. He/she shall select or compose the right music or soundtrack for the video
