Job Overview:
The role of a Site Logistics Manager in a Mechanical & Electrical company involves overseeing the efficient flow of materials from the warehouse to the project site. He or she collaborates with various teams, including logistics, project, and warehouse personnel, to achieve operational excellence. Job Description:
● Act as a liaison between the site and warehousing teams.
● Collaborate with site managers to understand specific project needs and timelines.
● Coordinate transportation, distribution, and warehouse activities to ensure a smooth flow and
timely delivery of materials to-and-fro the warehouse and the project site.
● Optimize routes and transportation modes to minimize costs and enhance efficiency.
● Oversee material receiving from warehouse and distribute the goods for a specific work order
or job to the site teams after verification.
● Collect and return the excess materials back to the warehouse after each installation.
● Resolve any incorrect quantities and type of materials received from the warehouse.
● Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventories within the site.
● Lead and motivate a team of distribution and warehouse staff.
Job Requirements:
● Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience.
● Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business
Administration, or a related field.
● Proven experience in distribution management, logistics or supply chain operations.
● Relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
● Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, transportation, and inventory management.
