The purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise and oversight for E&I maintenance and technical changes to the instrument and electrical systems, including the basic process control systems (DCS), the safety systems and the various electrical systems in close collaboration with the respective Plant Engineers.
Assigning work, facilitate and guide various engineering groups in the design and installation of plant projects in respect to E&I. Providing ongoing assistance to E&I plant maintenance and production assistance as required for all E&I related improvements or trouble shooting.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist maintenance and production in troubleshooting in order to maintain continuity of production.
- Ensure safety, availability and continuous improvement of plant E&I systems
Plan, manage, estimate, design, construct and startup the plant projects associated with DCS and Safety systems, instrumentation and electrical systems.
LIST OF DUTIES FOR EACH RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide plant engineering and production with technical expertise by
- Contributing working knowledge of the specialized E&I equipment
- Providing working knowledge of plant operations (process know-how)
- Providing diverse knowledge of maintenance methods.
- Contributes to maintain and administer facility quality, safety and environmental programs/processes, including non-conformance action items and MOC processes. He/she therefore is in close contact with the relevant departments to be up to date in terms of regulations.
Provide leadership, guidance and expertise for E&I projects by
- staying abreast of trends and developments in the company and site in general and introduce them to the plants if advantageous
- making him/herself familiar with all E&I systems in his/her area
- identifying suppliers and service providers in the region to meet required standards
Assist Maintenance in troubleshooting in order to maintain continuity of production by
- Identifying root causes of failures
- Developing and implementing sustainable solutions
Plan, manage, estimate, design, construct and startup the plant projects associated with DCS and Safety systems, instrumentation, and electrical systems by
- Evaluate different alternatives in a conceptual engineering
- Performing detailed engineering works for the E&I discipline
- Coordinating with related engineering disciplines as required
- Supervising execution of works in the field and ensuring the required quality
- Controlling of budgets and scheduling
- Provide technical expertise on state-of-the-art automation methods and techniques and implement best practices by
- Maintaining knowledge of the latest trends in the areas of field instrumentation, and electrical equipment
REQUIREMENT OF POSITION:
- Bachelor in Instrumentation, Process Control or similar
- min 5 years experience in maintenance or engineering in relevant industry
