As a logistics manager in a Mechanical & Electrical company, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire logistics and supply chain process. Your role is crucial in ensuring the efficient flow of materials, equipment, and information throughout the project.
Job Description:
● Collaborate with project managers to understand and align logistics activities with project
timelines and requirements.
● Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to improve lead times and to
ensure timely delivery of materials for site installation.
● Develop and implement JIT strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize waste, and
enhance overall efficiency in the installation process on site.
● Plan and coordinate the transportation of materials to-and-fro the warehouse and project site.
● Optimize delivery routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
● Address any issues or delays in the transportation process.
● Maintain accurate records of inventory, deliveries, and transportation activities.
● Monitor and control logistics-related expenses to ensure operations remain within budget.
● Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and transportation
providers.
● Utilize logistics software and tracking systems, to enhance efficiency and visibility in the
supply chain.
● Manage and lead a team of logistics and warehousing professionals, providing guidance,
training, and support.
● Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment within the cross-functional teams.
Job Requirements:
● Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience.
● Bachelor's degree or Diploma n Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business
Administration, or a related field.
● Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management.
● Relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
● Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, transportation, and inventory management.
● Excellent leadership and communication skills.
● Proficiency in logistics software and systems.
● Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
● Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
