Key Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for the commercial management of a grocery store (Mini Mart) mainly selling Indian and Bangladeshi items, maximizing sales and minimizing losses.
- To lead and motivate the grocery store team, develop and improve all staff to reach and maintain a high level of customer service and selling skills.
- Ensure store operation standards are adhered to by all grocery store staff.
- Ensure daily briefing to staff on sales target.
- Ensure daily housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Manage complaints cases whenever necessary.
- Provide the training and coaching to the team.
- Responsible to review store transactions on a daily basis as a control to detect and prevent any irregular and suspicious transactions
- Monitor and maintain compliance of all company policies and procedures to make sound business decisions and communicate/educate all staff.
- Responsible for roster planning to ensure sufficient manpower at all time.
- Sets priorities for employees to meet daily deadlines; develops plans to meet short-term objectives.
- Assist in other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
Requirements
- At least 4+ years working experience in sales and distribution of merchandise in a retail environment, preferably in Grocery/Trading stores.
- Results-orientated with strong understanding of day to day in store operations.
- Energetic and self-motivated individuals highly preferred.
- Minimum A level, diploma.
