Responsibilities
- Reporting result, providing market insights and strategic advice to Board Directors / Board Members in Headquarter-Japan
- Review, develop and implement business strategies in order to achieve goals given by Headquarter- Japan.
- Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations to ensure the profitable growth in a dynamic and competitive environment.
- To oversee the operations of company and developing strategic operating plans to ensure the company stay competitive in the industry.
- Responsible for cost control, budgeting and ensure that revenue/sales target are met.
- Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.
- Work closely with leadership to anticipate and address organizational needs through workforce planning, talent acquisition and succession planning.
- Communicate and maintain trust relationships with business partners.
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
- Coordinate the works of various departments across the company, for integration of functions and consistency of actions.
- Promote the wellness of staff and implementing policies in line with labour legislation and health and safety guidelines to create a diverse and positive working environment.
- Oversee the development of company policies and procedures in line with best practices and ensure compliance with legal requirement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Managing Director or other managerial position more than 5 years in managing a manufacturing company.
- Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans in the business environment of electronics supporting industry (e.g. electroplating and plating of metals related products).
- Resourceful, self-driven and high degree of professional integrity.
- Strong knowledge of the company, business, brand, and product; understanding of the company and its position in the market/industry.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance.
- Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices in Asia region.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, budgetary, and management skills.
- Able to communicate in both English and Japanese (JLPT N2 & above) as the role requires frequent liaise and reporting to Japan HQ.
