Role description :
1. Coordinate and oversee daily operations of the car shop, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs and services.
2. Monitor inventory levels of automotive parts and supplies, and manage stock replenishment to ensure availability for repairs.
3. Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained throughout the shop.
4. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and maintain high-quality service delivery.
5. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards governing automotive repair shops.
6. Recruit, train, and supervise technicians and support staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Specific Responsibilities:
1 .Oversee inventory levels, order new parts when necessary, and ensure that the shop has the necessary resources to complete repairs promptly.
2. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback.
3. Implement quality control measures and ensure that all repairs meet industry standards and customer expectations.
4. Ensure that the shop complies with all relevant regulations, such as environmental regulations and safety protocols, reducing the risk of fines or legal issues.
5. Oversee the hiring, training, and scheduling of staff, as well as handle any personnel issues that may arise.
Technical skills and competencies :
1. Proficiency in using inventory management software to track automotive parts and supplies, manage stock levels, and generate reports.
2. Understanding of automotive parts, components, and repair processes to effectively manage inventory, assist technicians, and ensure quality control.
3. Knowledge of quality control techniques and methodologies to maintain high standards of repair and service quality.
4. Basic understanding of automotive mechanics and repair procedures to communicate effectively with technicians and troubleshoot issues as needed.
5. Proficiency in project management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor various operational projects and initiatives within the car shop.
6. Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate a diverse team, delegate tasks effectively, provide guidance and support, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
