Job Description
· The shadow teacher will provide the identified special needs pupils with behavioral support, social skills and academic as well as individual home-based support (emotional regulation, behavioral modification, social skills training) when necessary
· Provide the school with a customized individual execution plan for the identified pupils. The plan should encompass 3 areas – Classroom behavior, Social Skills & Academic. A weekly progress report on each pupil should also be submitted to the teacher-in-charge
· Should work with the teachers and parents to ensure effective implementation of the individual plan and social skills and routines learned
· Create relevant and appropriate materials for each student based on their needs. Examples of materials include reward systems, routines and social stories, etc. Materials should be shared with the school before any implementation
· Has to conduct one sharing session/workshop with the relevant school teachers and another session with the parents of the selected students. (Details to be confirmed at a later date)
Requirements
· At least a Diploma in any field. Candidates who possess a Diploma in Special Education or Specialist Certificate in Shadow Teaching (or relevant qualifications) will have an added advantage
· Relevant experiences in working with students suspected of or diagnosed with SEN aged 12 years old and below
· Candidate should be nurturing and have a genuine interest in student’s wellbeing.
· Positive work attitude and possess good interpersonal and communications skills.
· Relevant working experiences with children with special needs

Working hours
· Mondays to Fridays: 7.30am to 1.30pm
· Contract hours – Base period: 90 hours and Option period: 42 hours
· Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
