Scope
- Organize & Manage production according to demand and quality standards.
- Ensure delivery of goods on time in a profitable manner.
- Identify production and planning improvement opportunities within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate production workflow for multiple products.
- Establish and monitor manufacturing and scheduling output information.
- Monitor jobs to ensure on time delivery and budget target. Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
- Manufacture new tools from technical drawings to a high level of workmanship and in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
- Determine manpower, equipment, tool and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
- Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations, quality control, warehouse.
- Schedule shift according to production needs.
- Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
- Keep paperwork organized.
- Manage the running & plan activities of the tool room facilities and toolmakers, ensuring the tool room is a safe environment in line with health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Availability of tools to ensure continuous production
- Implement storage of tools to facilitate highest standards within the department for good housekeeping, health, safety and environmental.
- Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety
Work Experience & Skill
- Proven experience as production planner.
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
- Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Kaizen,lean manufacturing.
- Experience in MRP (Manufacturing resource planning) or other planning tool.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
- Good at math and statistics.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- High school diploma; Further education or certification is preferred.
- Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred.
- Extensive plant level experience with significant proven supervisory experience.
- Technical understanding.
- Experience of managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for manufacturing.
- Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain.
