Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to deliver the project on schedule and within budget
  • Do overall project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and updating to meet targets
  • Manage risks, issues, budgets, and scope throughout the project life-cycle
  • Responsible for all construction site matters including safety and other compliance matters • Ensure all works carried out meet with Clients/Company’s quality standards and requirements
  • Meet Government / Statutory / Government Agency’s regulations/requirements at all times
  • Resolve complex issues with clients & consultants, JV Partner, and/or sub-contractors which is not able to be handled by subordinates.
  • Direct project team members to achieve targets of safety, quality, profit, and timely completion of the project
  • Monitor the progress of the project according to the targets set.
  • Identify key staff to lead the project and delegate responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and direction to staff for them to work towards the targets set.
  • Personnel management and development.
  • Oversee the tender works including providing directions on planning, construction technique, quality of tender submission documents, risk and issue management, tender price negotiation with suppliers, and sub-cons for finalization.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the PE Board or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience in construction or construction management, or a combination of relevant work experience in LTA projects in Singapore for mega projects of similar scale, complexity, and nature of work.
  • Ability to understand all aspects of construction projects effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to budgeting, and scheduling in order to fully understand project implications
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to successfully communicate with clients, management, and to the team members
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential
  • Able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
  • Capacity to handle pressure
  • Local project/contract management experience is preferred
