My client is a Singapore-based proprietary trading company. They are looking for a Data Engineer with 2-5years of working experience.
Responsibilities:
- Implement, monitor, and maintain data pipelines for market, transaction, reference, and other data.
- Perform necessary data cleansing and transformation to enhance data quality.
- Collaborate with traders and researchers for efficient data consumption and analysis.
- Deploy new data models for insightful and actionable analytics across the firm.
- Manage the entire data processing system and advise on necessary infrastructure changes.
Attributes:
- Clear thinking, quick learning, problem-solving ability, and adept at working independently.
- Effective communication and a propensity for asking insightful questions.
- Development experience in multiple programming languages, preferably diverse types (e.g., strongly versus dynamically typed, functional versus object-oriented).
- Familiarity with software development practices and excellent teamwork skills.
- Experience with databases and SQL.
- Proficiency in stream processing.
