- Create and preserve a solid rapport with customers, brokers, and other shipping industry participants.
- Find and seize dry bulk vessel chartering possibilities in the Pacific market.
- Work together with the commercial and operations teams to maximize vessel utilization and guarantee seamless chartering procedures.
- Make data-driven decisions by analyzing market factors, such as supply and demand dynamics, vessel availability, and freight prices.
- Assist in the creation of company plans and chartering strategies by offering market intelligence.
- Review voyage economics, conduct routine performance reviews of chartered boats, and pinpoint areas in need of development.
- Oversee contract management and guarantee adherence to all legal, regulatory, and operational mandates.
- Stay current on industry advancements, legislation, and best practices relating to dry bulk chartering.
- To properly support chartering activities, work together with internal stakeholders from operations, bunkering, marine accounting, and legal.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, maritime studies, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- Thorough awareness of the industry, including trade routes, cargo kinds, and vessel types.
- Proven capacity to successfully negotiate and obtain long-term charter contracts with a track record of accomplishments.
- Outstanding analytical abilities and the capacity to comprehend market data and come to well-informed conclusions.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities to establish and preserve connections with stakeholders and clients.
- Strong sense of business and a focus on outcomes.
- Capacity to handle several priorities while working efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace.
- Adept in using the Microsoft Office Suite, shipping software, and other pertinent technologies.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and other languages, in addition to fluency in English, is advantageous.
