Job Description
As an Executive, Accounts (GL), you will be responsible for assisting with general ledger accounting, consolidating all subsidiaries financial reports, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. You need to have a strong understanding of accounting principles, be detail-oriented, and be able to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of the group financial statements include checking of the subsidiaries reporting pack
- Prepare journal entries for specific accounts for the Company
- Prepare the group notes for the Company and auditors.
- Prepare the financial reporting requirement by the corporate financial controller.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Process overseas representative claims of the Company for approval and payment.
- Assist in the preparation in the Company audited report and annual report
- Assist in the GST preparation for Singapore GST-registered subsidiaries
- Prepare and maintain monthly exchange rates in the accounting system.
- Collaborate with other members of the finance team & the subsidiaries team to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures
- Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor in Accounting / ACCA
- 3 years of experience in accounts or a similar role
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements
- Familiarity with accounting software and systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of tax and regulatory requirements related to financial reporting
