Overview
This position will be responsible for leading the HR Team in Singapore and spearheading the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives. The incumbent will also serve as the primary liaison between the Singapore subsidiary, our headquarters in South Korea and international partners/stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Partner with senior management to drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and talent management initiatives.
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, and employee offboarding.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations, including employment contracts, work permits, and employment-related documentation.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks in compliance with local laws and company standards.
- Provide guidance and interpretation of HR policies and procedures to employees and managers.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Singapore subsidiary and headquarters in Singapore and South Korea on HR-related matters.
- Coordinate with global HR teams to ensure consistency in HR practices and policies across regions.
- Compile and analyze HR metrics and data to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports and deliver presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management/Administration, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience as an HR professional, preferably in a multinational company.
- Proven experience in a Manufacturing/Automotive Company or R&D Center.
- Experience in leading an HR team comprising at least 5 members.
- Fluent in English and Korean languages to effectively communicate with C-level executives in Singapore and Headquarters in South Korea.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office applications.
