About the Logistics Coordinator (four months) Role:
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the company's supply chain operations. You will be responsible for placing bookings with freight forwarders, monitoring vessel space confirmation, and supervising the timely release of shipping orders to factories. Your role will also involve providing bill of lading details to factories and forwarders, monitoring stuffing operations, and ensuring smooth documentation flow between factories and freight forwarders. Additionally, you will provide accurate shipping information to internal stakeholders when required, minimise logistics costs associated with shipment arrangements, and audit haulage invoices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Place bookings with Freight Forwarders for all shipments from China
- Monitor Vessel Space Confirmation and supervise the timely release of Shipping Orders to factories
- Provide Bill of Lading details to Factories and to Forwarders
- Monitor Stuffing operation and ensure smooth documentation flow between Factories and Freight Forwarders
- Provide accurate shipping information to internal stakeholders whenever required
- Minimise Logistics costs associated with shipment arrangement and audit haulage Invoices
The successful Logistics Coordinator (four months) brings a wealth of experience in supply chain/shipping, with good knowledge of all modes of delivery, especially shipping and trucking. You must also have proven a ability to troubleshoot shipping issues and be computer literate in MS Office.
Key Requirements:
- One to three years' experience in Supply Chain/Shipping
- Good knowledge of all modes of delivery, especially shipping and trucking
- Ability to troubleshoot shipping issues
- Excellent understanding of Incoterms and Customs procedures with he ability to work on tight deadlines and proactively identifying logistics bottlenecks
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively
- Ability to converse in English and Mandarin
