- Monitors, reviews and comments on the overall planning of construction activities, plans, specifications and scheduling to identify critical milestones and priorities, possible cost savings measures and potential construction problems.;
- Have confidence in own ability to intelligently communicate with design team/client as well as effectively lead the specific project
- Coordinates and supervises construction activities, including identifying and solving problems related to site as well as planning and co-ordinating technical or site issues;
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of various disciplines to be used during construction, as well as the methods and techniques of works;
- Keep alert to possible problem areas and take preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project. Prepares and maintains construction schedule;
- Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to Clients, Architects, Consultants and Project Manager’s specifications;
- Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of all subcontractors as well as determining labour requirements on site;
- Control and monitor the expenses of labour, material, equipment and any other relevant item related to project/site;
- Ensure that all relevant drawings (Such as as-built, construction ...etc.) are prepared and updated on site on an on-going basis by all trades during the construction period
- Conduct and coordinate meetings;
- Schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process;
- Review, monitor and control the services, qualities and performances of all subcontractors as well as major construction equipment required by the project to be available at the appropriate time to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
- Maintains positive relationships with Client, Architects, Consultants, Authorities, all Contractors, suppliers and any other relevant personnel;
- Encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately;
- Maintains an organized work site, including the construction office.
