Job Description
- Support Mizuho ESG Solutions and report to the APAC (ex. Japan) Head of ESG Solutions
- Actively contribute to pitching efforts in securing Sustainable Finance mandates
- Responsible for identifying, originating, structuring, and executing ESG financing opportunities, with a focus on bond and loan products
- Closely collaborate with various business lines to ensure effective ideation and pipeline management across Bank and Securities product suite
- Advise clients on ESG financing framework, sustainability and decarbonization strategy, selection of external review service providers, ESG disclosure etc.
- Serve as a liaison with ESG teams across Mizuho’s global network to drive ESG business development endeavors and product innovations
- Be a champion to raise awareness among Mizuho’s internal stakeholders on ESG and support capacity building efforts
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an ESG-related subject (e.g., sustainable finance, carbon economics, environmental management, energy engineering etc.) is preferred
- Proven track record in the ESG space, with Bond/Loan/Fixed Income experience is preferred
- 2 to 4 years of experience in financing origination/structuring/syndication in the banking sector is preferred
- Detail-oriented with inquisitive mind and excellent research capability
- Teamwork and can-do spirit, with strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively and efficiently interact with clients , as well as internal and external stakeholders
- Motivated self-starter, with the ability to assume leadership in projects and initiatives, multi-task and project management under a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint Skills
