Process Development
- Scrutinize LC documents of substantial amount including confirmed LC documents before effecting payments in order to compliance with policy and procedure.
- Review acceptability of terms on LC confirmation/Back to Back LC/Risk participation applications before their issuance in order to have duly control
- Responsible to approve TI transactions that requires approval to enable continuation of trade transactions and ensuring within approved limit assigned.
- Authorizes and releases Manual Swift Messages generated in order to deliver the process in time.
- Ensures FID approval is obtained before taking on Bank’s risks transaction in order to compliance with policies and procedures
- Monitoring daily Banks exposures and limits for trade transactions to ensure that business is not exposed to undue risk.
- Checking and signing availment ticket proposals for trade transactions in order to define any anomalies or discrepancies
Data Collection / Filing
- Maintain proper daily records of both Import & Export transactions in TI plus for daily & monthly reporting.
- To maintain proper records of all trade finance transactions handles and warehousing of old records.
- Ensure all closed / processed transactions documents are completed
- Ensure proper maintenance of recording of old records sent to warehouse
- Ensure hand deliveries (documents) are correctly & timely dispatched
- Ensure a smooth and effective back-up of counter staff duties
- Participate in ad hoc projects and other tasks as assigned
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensures AML/CFT screening of parties are cleared before processing transactions
- Adherence to all laws ( including trade) , regulations, policies & procedures & KYC/AML /CFT Compliance
Customer Service
- Managing trade business relationship with customers to ensure customers satisfaction is delivered
Minimum qualifications:
- Diploma in banking & Finance or Business
Minimum experience:
- 5 years related experience
