COACH FOR TRACK & FIELD (LONG DISTANCE) TEAM CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITY FOR A PERIOD OF 3 YEARS
Introduction
This quotation exercise aims to appoint a Coach for the delivery of training for the Track & Field (Long Distance) Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) over a period of 3 years.
Requirement Specifications
Scope of Coaching Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and implement a high-quality coaching program focusing on maximizing students’ participation and performance.
- Create a conducive learning environment aligned with Core Values for Student Development.
- Adhere to the Coach’s Code of Ethics set out by the relevant national governing body.
- Provide mentoring, support, and guidance to student athletes.
- Commit to continuous professional development.
- Avoid conflicts of interest during competitions.
- Conduct training sessions in a Hybrid format.
Coaching Requirements:
- Conduct up to 88 sessions per year, each lasting 2 hours, twice weekly.
- Organize and conduct training sessions on Track & Field (Long Distance) and technical skills.
- Prepare selected students for relevant competitions.
- Mentor students in organizing CCA events.
- Demonstrate technical skills of Long Distance running.
- Submit monthly invoices based on hours of service rendered.
Coaching Qualifications:
- Possess valid National Registry of Coaches (NROC) Coach Certification and First Aid Certification.
- Hold a minimum of IAAF/WA Athletics CECS Level 1 certification or equivalent.
Coaching Experience:
- Have relevant coaching experience in educational institutions or clubs of members aged 17 to 21 in the past 5 years.
Other Requirements:
- Submit relevant candidate credentials.
- Shortlisted candidates will attend an interview.
- Ensure qualified replacement coaches if unable to attend sessions.
- Give one month's notice for resignation.
Delivery Schedule:
- Tentative contract period: 12 June 2024 to 11 June 2027.
Quotation Validity:
- Valid for 60 days from the closing date of this ITQ.
