Roles & Responsibilities
· Perform Processing, Testing and Cryopreservation of Cord Blood Units (CBUs), Bone Marrow (BM) and Peripheral Blood Stem Cells (PBSC).
· Ensure proper labelling, testing, processing and disposition of all cord blood, cord stem cell, BM and PBSC samples received.
· Perform entry of laboratory and test data pertaining to the CBUs, CSCs, BM and PBSC.
· Document and compile laboratory test results and ensure compliance with company’s laboratory SOP.
· Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of the laboratory instruments.
· Perform stem cell markers testing using flow cytometry.
· Perform any other testing required by regulatory bodies.
· Perform all levels of quality control activities when necessary.
· Perform vendor evaluation when required and ensure that laboratory supplies are delivered on a timely manner.
· Assist with the release of CBUs and other HSC units for transplantation.
· Fulfill other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements:
· A team player working with teammates under the supervision of Laboratory Manager.
· Must be willing to work on shift and during rostered weekends and public holidays.
· Minimum Diploma / Degree in biological science, 2 -3 years experience preferred
