Job Description
- Implement data quality checks and cleansing routines to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Optimize ETL processes for performance and efficiency, including tuning SQL queries and optimizing workflow designs.
- Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system testing of data integration solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, process diagrams, and user manuals.
Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Informatica PowerCenter and related components, including repositories, services, and nodes.
- Manage user access and security permissions within the Informatica environment.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Perform regular backups and recovery procedures to safeguard Informatica repositories and metadata.
- Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions for Informatica infrastructure.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to ensure seamless integration of Informatica with other systems and services.
- Stay updated with Informatica product releases, patches, and updates, and apply them as necessary to keep the environment secure and up-to-date.
- Provide technical support and assistance to users, developers, and other stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Informatica Developer and Administrator.
- Proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter and other Informatica tools.
- Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with Informatica installation, configuration, and administration.
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
