Currently they are looking for a Water Resources and Flood Engineer to join their coastal engineering team.
about the job
- Support various rivers, inland and coastal flood modelling projects, surface water hydrology and hydraulics design-related projects;
- Perform one- and two-dimensional modelling to complete hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analyses in compliance with regional guidelines and specifications Compile related literature and datasets required for model development
- Research regional natural and manmade hydrological aspects that can lead to and impact flooding events
- Conduct model sensitivity and validation tests
- Perform an impact assessment of Climate Change, Resilience Planning, and Sea Level Change
- Support preparation of proposals and marketing efforts.
skills & experience required
- B.E/MS degree in Civil / Environmental/ Water Resources/Coastal Engineering with emphasis in hydrology/hydraulics, water resources or related field
- Understanding of pluvial, fluvial, and coastal/tidal hydraulic modelling
- Experience and knowledge of various 1D-2D flood modelling software such as HEC-RAS, EPASWMM, PCSWMM, etc.
- Experience with model setup, calibration, and validation
- Knowledge of and skills in probability and statistical methods
- Familiar with drainage analysis and design
- Familiarity with coastal modelling tools such as MIKE 21, DELFT3D or similar tools is a plus.
- Experience using QGIS, ArcGIS, and ArcPRO is a plus
