The role of Head of Strategic Pricing - SEA is a critical role to develop strategy and execute pricing stance according to various factors such as other players’ reactions, purchase behaviors as well as segmentation from customers to merchant partners. This role will oversee pricing strategies across markets that Traveloka operates in. - Job Description:
- Develop pricing strategy for all Traveloka markets to optimize every $ we spend to scale up business size in each market. Strategy must consider consumers, merchant partners, and other relevant parties’ viewpoints to generate robust fundamental thinking
- Proficient in handling data and designing experiments; the role will closely work with the data scientist and analyst teams to devise practical strategies and execution
- Be accountable for achieving better returns per $ spent and optimizing user acquisition and retention metrics
- Translate short-, medium-, long-term pricing strategies into product / platform / data requirements to automate and scale pricing execution based on growing number of variables
- Build a high performing, highly analytical pricing organization with the right fundamentals to realize Traveloka's growth aspirations. People development, management, and grooming skills are necessary - the role is accountable for team and organizational building
- Lead the efforts to develop expertise of users and markets in the travel sector as a baseline understanding to improve our offerings
- Work with external and internal stakeholders to realize collaborations, obtain buy-ins, and cooperate on prioritized initiatives
- Be fluent with balancing returns and pursuing scalability
- Develop strong and robust infrastructure to allow for agile, timely business growth
- Drive pricing executions; with a good balance of quick, practical experiments and fundamental building
Requirements
- Minimum 10-15 years of similar experiences, esp. in leading pricing organization with proven track record of business results – capabilities in SQL is a plus
- Experienced in leading regional / multi-country teams is a must;
- Analytically and financially sound, fluent with investment decision making with users as the main anchor;
- Fluent with quantitative, qualitative analysis and possess critical thinking trait;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex matters in a concise and meaningful way;
- Flexible, comfort with ambiguity and dynamically shifting priorities, deadlines, and demands;
- Experience in working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with limited resources;
- Strong work ethic (takes ownership), self-motivated and quick-study mentality; able to multi-task and manage own workload with limited supervision;
