Overview
The Application Test Engineer is responsible to develop automation scripts based on the test scenario. The scripts to conform to standards and are delivered with quality, meeting schedule and requirements.
What we seek to accomplish together:
- Designing and developing test automation scripts based on the requirements provided
- Using test automation guidelines
- Collaborate with Business Analyst (BA) and software engineers to develop the automation scripts
- Advise project team on design consideration to facilitate meeting of requirements.
- Advise business analysts and/or customers on the testing requirements and test techniques
- Participate in the integration testing, system testing, User Acceptance Test (UAT) activities to ensure the smooth execution of automation scripts in respective environment.
- Analyze test results and work with respective teams to resolve issues such as defect open and resolution rate, bottlenecks in performance and other defects
- Prepare test reports & maintain up-to-date documentation
- Manage security testing and non-functional testing activities and ensure the planned test activities are completed as scheduled
A little about you:
- Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field, or IT equivalent
- Preferably 4 years or more of experience as Application Test engineer
- Experience with TOSCA Automation testing tools.
- Familiar with Unix/Linux commands, Shell Scripting and Windows Powershell
- Familiar with Financial banking domain (Payment / Securities systems) will be added advantage
- Experience using scrum-based software development tools like JIRA, confluence
- Preferably to have experience in integration with DevOps & CI/CD
- Excellent design, strong communication both oral & written and working in a medium to large teams
